pm. Employees may need to adjust work hours during surge situations.
Brief Job Description:
Performs data analysis and inputs into the General Fund Enterprise
Business System (GFEBS) in preparation and continued readiness for
audit compliance IAW the Chief Financial Officers Act (CFOA). GFEBS
is a web-enabled financial, asset and accounting management system
that standardizes streamlines and shares critical data across various
other systems.
Responsibilities
The Real Property Specialist position with Gryphon
Environmental/Erica Lane Enterprises is a DoD Contracted position in
support of the 88th Readiness Division (RD) of the United States Army
Reserve. The position requires regular use of Microsoft Excel and
Microsoft word to manage data tables and analyze Real Property
Inventory in support of strategic planning activities of the 88th RD
Headquarters Command Group and DPW. Proprietary software such the
General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and other government
systems of record will also need to be used, but training will be
supplied by the government to develop expertise in the government
specific software duties of the position.
The supported organization manages 270+ sites comprised of 800+
buildings across 19 states. All the data related to these sites and
buildings, their supporting infrastructure, their capacity and
capabilities, and tenancy of the buildings is maintained and supported
in some way by the DPW Plans Team, of which the Real Property
Specialist is a primary component.
- Records property changes and completed disposal actions in the
Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) General Fund Enterprise
Business System (GFEBS)
- Coordinates with Plans staff to obtain accurate project
information relating to cost, quantities and dimensions of Real
Property in order to complete adjustments to the Real Property Inventory
- Provides reconciliation of Real Property Inventory and ensure all
records and files are accurately maintained
- Recommends corrective action to realign excess or deficit space
used to achieve the best facility support solution
- Conducts physical inventories of property items to determine
quantities of existing items, their condition, and suitability for
intended purposes
- Reviews and provides recommendations on space utilization studies
- Prepares a variety of real estate reports
- Utilizes various software and databases to maintain real property records
- Performs other tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree directly related to the position; a
Technical Certification and three years’ experience
directly related to the position; or Six years’ experience directly
related to the position
- Must be capable of passing a drug screen and background check
- Must have strong organizational and planning skills and the
ability to prioritize work
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Must have attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Must demonstrate positive, polite, and professional behavior at
all times when dealing with co-workers, customers, and all levels of management
- Must have the ability to communicate using clear, concise, and
accurate English; both verbal and written are Required
- Must have reliable transportation to/from work location
Preferred:
- Experience with Real Property Inventory
- Experience with Utility Network
Physical Requirements:
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
Work will require the regular utilization of hand and finger
dexterity, as well as close vision, distance vision, color vision, and
peripheral vision. Position may require typing and reading from a
computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility to include but not
limited to walking, standing, climbing, bending, reaching, turning,
kneeling, crouching, or crawling to complete daily duties in a timely
and efficient manner. There is a possibility that, due to parking
availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances
may be required. Must be able to lift, move, and transport items
frequently over 10 pounds, occasionally up to 20 pounds.
Work Environment:
Work is generally conducted in an inside environment, but may also
involve some outside work, depending on the task. The inside
environment may be in an office or cubicle with close quarters, with
low to moderate noise, and bright or dim lighting. While performing
the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or
airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Outside
work may include various environmental conditions including hot and
cold climates. The noise level in the work environment and job sites
can be loud.
